Salam Alaikum everyone. May you all be in the best state of health and faith.

For a very long time I havent updated my blog. Stupid me, i didnt know my blog was actually read by so many people.
My post about Prof. Amr Khaled being 6th in the Top 20 Intellectuals list reached the view number of above 5300. Astonishing indeed :)
So I gotta thank you all for your support, love, and continuos request to update the blog.

Not that I dont love you guys, I just have been pretty selfish in the past time for quite so long. Some incidents of my life taught me, Self love is a mistake, Self confidence is must.

And there happens to be a huge difference between the two.
When you are SELF-LOVING, all you see is yourself. Be it you, or be it one of your astounding qualities. You are just on the top of the world. My mother always used to say,"Love of yourself makes you fly at one of the higest points in sky. But when you fall down, you wont ever be able to even stand up again." Sad enough! I have seen many people in my life with this 'disease'. I, personally, dont like self lovers. Because when you discuss something with them, all they can tell about is their ownselves. And..its annoying. Once I got into a dicussion about religion with somebody I thought was supposed to be a wise person. The discussion went awesome. But that person could only give examples from his own life. And that was simply the biggest flaw of the dicussion.

So..I wont be a self lover anymore hehe, Insha ALLAH, and wouldnt dissappoint you with my blog :)�

From now on, Insha ALLAH, I'll update the blog as much as possible. With helpful articles and something from my side too :) Hope you all would forgive me for being absent for....quite a long time.

A Poem for my mom, THANK YOU MOM

There is a person, a very normal person

But for some, she is extraordinary

Some religions would call her heaven

For me, she is the reason I live or die

When I was young, I only remember one thing

She'd be sitting, standing, lying with me

When I'd cry, when I'd smile, in almost everything

She'd be there, with a smile, always supporting me

From my worst times, to the best days of my life

I can only see her face, when I look back in years

To strengthen my faith, to give me a belief

that i can do something, she was always there

How she'd lie to me that everything is ok

even i could see, the tears in her eyes

To make me feel good, she'd suffer anything

She is the most special, i'd make her realise

She is my mother, who gave me birth

raised me so specially, as if I was a princess

I never felt for once that she could hate

She is the one GOD created to love..

For GOD couldnt be with me everytime,

so to send me HIS proper love

HE made a mother, who'd stand by

with me, no matter I live, no matter I die

Are You An Extremist Too?

As some of you may be aware of the fact that I happen to be an admirer of an Islamic Scholar, Prof. Dr. Khalid Zaheer.

So just going through his website, I found this amazing article, which I thought is worth-sharing :)

�An extremist is a person who believes that only his views are correct while all others are incorrect and he is therefore not prepared to respect and listen to the other views to find out if they could be correct too.�

Are you as a true Muslim ready to accept that Islam is a false religion? If this is you basic belief that Islam is the true religion, will you consider yourself an Extremist too?

Response:

I must admit that it is a good question.

If someone tells me that my religion was false, I would consider such a person to be a bit uncultured, for there were more refined ways of saying the same thing. To begin with, therefore, I may get offended. However, if the person would give some arguments for the reason why he believed my religion was false, I would take those arguments of his claim seriously.

For some time, I have been trying to mention my understanding in my blog-articles on the website and elsewhere too that it was the claim of Islam that it is the religion of God and therefore it was the duty of those who believed in that claim that they should present justifications for their belief. I believe the Qur�an has done exactly that all along.

If a Muslim knew that somebody had raised serious objections against Islam and he condemns that person as someone who was misled without considering the merits of the arguments of those objections, then the Muslim making that claim was most certainly being an irrational person and not behaving according to Qur�anic teachings. The book of God gives the prophet to follow this advice: �Tell them (the disbelievers) that (if they think that there claim that Torah and Qur�an weren�t from God was correct) then they should bring forth a book from God which is straighter than these two books, I (the prophet) shall follow it, if you are really truthful.� (28:49)

My answer to the question therefore is that if a Muslim rejects the criticism against Islam without looking into the arguments of those criticisms, he is not following the correct Islamic approach. However, if the Muslim accuses the other person of not having reasons to hold his views without looking into the merit of those views, then he is likely to be an extremist. I do admit that all people displaying that behaviour may not be extremists. Some of them may still have moderate tendencies while dealing with others despite being irrational. However, all extremists must behave irrationally in religious debates or else they cannot be extremists.

I thank you for asking this question. I am altering my statement in the blog. The correct statement should be this: �All extremists believe that only their views are correct while the views different from theirs are incorrect and they are therefore not prepared to respect and listen to the other views to find out if they could be correct too.�

I was with the people who needed me.

Salam Alaikum everyone, May you all be in the best state of health and faith.

I thought why not surprise my readers with TWO articles, lol. I am so not a writer, its just my hobby.

For quite sometime I have been thinking to write a story about a girl who has seen enough of life and she is ready to give up anytime. But why does she survive? Why does she want to survive?

Answer to that question would be, Love For Others. She loves her mother more than anything. She has beautiful friends. Her fiance is the person who can do anything JUST to keep her smile on the face.

She loves them back equally. But sometimes this isnt enougj. Loving someone and standing by someone are definately two different things. Which might seem one, but are two sides of one coin! The Coin Of Relationship.

For a moment, see in the life of Holy Prophet Peace Be Upon Him!

Who was he? A Messenger sent by ALLAH to make this world the best place. To make people live in the most sophisticated way known to mankind. To make people realize, There is NO GOD BUT ALLAH. No matter what, you worship HIM for HE is the Mericful, The Creator, The Forgiver. HE does everything. He was the one concerned for the Muslim Ummah till his last breath. He didnt do a thing that could be a burden on us. He made things as easy as possible. But as best as we could ever have.

So isnt it better that we become a little bit concerned about the world and keep our needs on side a bit. If you complete�your duties, you have a right to ask for your rights. Its an urdu saying which definately makes sure that DUTIES comes before RIGHTS. Your work is someone's necessity.

If you go to school at 7, come back at 2. You are fulfilling your duty towards GOD, towards your parents.

If you go to a mall and see an old person in a bad condition, you help him. Just because you felt like helping at the moment. Its not something that JUST comes. Its there, in your heart and these kind of moments make you realize how good it feels to help, tou fulfill your duty.

How beautiful and beyond words that feeling is when someone says a sincere THANKS for helping me. When someone comes and says, You have been so kind.

Being humble on these ocassions is the best way to keep them a good deed. But deep inside only you know how your heart is flying to the Paradise you couldnt even imagine for.

So why not just prepare ourselves for the LAST DAY, The Day Of Judgement. And if ALLAH asks us, Where were you in the world when people were in need? And you proudly say,"I was with the people who needed me."

Experience...but when do you know you have it enough?

Well, Apologies for my readers as I havent been posting anything on the blog. Reasons are many and it might bore you so lets come to the topic we all hear too much about,

EXPERIENCE: When a person does an act, he gets a result out of it. Whether it be positive or negative, it remains in the person's memory til quite sometime. Not everything, of course can be preserved in memory. Little things like the things we see on roads and stuf like that is forgotten as they seem no necessary to us.

But EXPERIENCE is something which helps us throughout our lives. For example a child. If he takes his hand towards fire and it starts to burn, he immediately takes it away. And it becomes something he wont ever do again. And if the same child sees his little brother doing the thing, he will, himself, takes his hand away. As he knows that fire might burn his hand. If the little brother asks why he did that? The child would say."I know its hot because I have felt it before."

Lets take an example from a teenager's life. A 16 year old girl studies in a high school where she faces many rude people. And she happens to be an invsible person who doesnt mean a thing to anyone.

She asks her mother how were things with you? And mother tells the girl everything she had in her EXPERIENCE. She went to high school, she faced tough times, she had problems. But she went through all of it and still turned out to be a good person.

So, Its actually NOT necessary to be an old, well mannered, sophisticated human being. Or some really study-freek bookworm to say that,"I have enough experience to talk."

It all depends on the matter. Some people have enough information about house issues more than they know about university problems. So if you talk with them about a parents' fight, they might prove to be helpful. And if you ask a Professor about how to deal with academic issues, I dont think anyone else would give a better answer than him.

Basically EXPERIENCE is a name of things and acts we face in life. Their results, their impact on us, the way we react to them. Its not something only two or three humans have. Everyone in the world who comes here, lives here has enough experience to talk. Just you need to know the matter you are talking about.

One thing I would love to mention is, never listen to someone your heart doesnt feel comfortable with. Some people might say, partying after 11 is the only best thing in world. Its their experience. But always see what your ethics say. What your heart says. And even if you attend the party, how would you feel? Wil your concience ring the bell of danger? If yes, than getting out of the party would be the best decision you can ever make.

Have SELF CONFIDENCE. You know you are a Muslim who is on the right path? Then go for it. Talk with people who have the knowledge about Islam. Not those who can show but wont say a word when it comes to Islamic issues.

There is NO LIMIT to experience. Its a constant process. Learn from mistakes; no matter yours, no matter others. Just be sure that the people who can insult you and say I have more experience than you, may not always be true. And you might be better than that person, infront of GOD.

Be good, Do Good, You will Have Good.

Surah fateha in Honour of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him

Posting this article on the auspicious occasion of the birth of our prophet Mohammad S.A.W.W. in the hope that if few people read this I might get Thawab along with them. I know the script is long but still it is not enough to highlight the true stature of our prophet Mohammad S.A.W.W

With eyes as bright as the shining sun, a reality on the lips more brilliant than the light of the sun, a heart more fresh than the flowers of the gardens of Yathrib and Taif, habits and morals more decent than the moon- lit nights of the Hijaz, a mind more brisk than the strong winds, a bewitching tongue, a heart with heavenly light, firm determination like a trenchant sword and heavenly words on the tongue - such was Muhammad son of Abdullah, the prophet of Arabia, the prophet who destroyed the idols which had separated brothers from brothers. The only thing which the cowardly Quraysh desired was money should be transferred from the hands of the nomadic Arabs to their own pockets. Suddenly they heard a voice which shook their nerves. Their hopes were shattered.

Sura Al-Fatihah (The Opening)

In The Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful

Contents of the Sura

The Holy phrase 'In The Name of Allah,The Beneficent,The Merciful' / bism-il-lah-ir-rahman-ir-rahim / is, in fact, mentioned both at the onset of the Qur'an and at the beginning of every Sura, except Sura 9, (Sura Taubah - Repentance) . And, since the purpose of Allah's Word, i.e. the whole Qur'an, is to guide people; as Sura Al-Ma'idah, No. 5, verses 15-16 say : "...Indeed, there has come to you a light and a clear Book from Allah ", " With it Allah guideth him who follows His pleasure to the ways of peace and safety ..."; therefore, this guidance, being a grant and a fundamental principle, begins with Allah's Holy Name.

This Sura, among all Suras of the Qur'an, has an extraordinary radiance which originates from the following merits :

1. The Tone of the Sura :

This Sura, The Opening, in comparison with other Suras of the Qur'an regarding its tone and melody, has a particular style which is clearly different and extraordinary. The other Suras contain instructions from Allah, Who gives commands and admonishments to His servants, but, in this Sura, His words are uttered on behalf of the servants. In other words, in this Sura, Allah has taught His servants how to supplicate and speak to Him, simply and without a mediator.

2. Al-Fatihah, the Basis of the Qur'an :

It is narrated that the holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.) has said :

" By the One, in Whose hand is my soul, Allah has not sent down a similar Sura to this Sura (Al-Fatihah) , neither in the Turah, nor in the Gospel, nor in the Psalms, nor even in the Qur'an, and it is Umm-ul-Kitab ";(1) which means that it is the basis and origin of all excellence.

In fact, besides referring to the Resurrection, this Sura presents facts concerning the Unity of the Divine Essence, Unity of Attributes, Unity of Divine Acts, and Unity of Worship. It is the essence of the whole meaning of the Qur'an.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ali (a.s.) that :

" All secrets of Allah are in Divine Books; and the contents of all those Divine Books are comprised in the Qur'an;and what is found in the Qur'an is condensed in Sura Al-Fatihah, and what is in Al-Fatihah is gathered in /bismillah /, and what is in / bismillah / is concentrated in /b/, (the first letter of ' Bism-il-lah ') ..." (2)

Based on the entirety of great commentators' statements, it is understood that this tradition indicates clearly the importance of both the Holy Qur'an and /bismillah-ir-rahman-ir-rahim/ in which science and knowledge, from the beginning to the end, is comprised. The interpreter and elucidator of these sciences is the holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.) , and after him there are his true vicegerents including Amir-ul-Mu'mineen Ali (a.s.) . (3)

3. Al-Fatihah, Magnificent Honour of the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) :

Sura Al-Fatihah, more so than the other Suras in the Holy Qur'an, was revealed to the holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.) as a great bounty. It stands on a par with the whole Qur'an. The seven verses in the Sura sum up the whole Qur'an : "And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an " , (Sura Al-Hijr, No. 15, verse 87) . This meaning is also referred to in a narration from Amir-ul-Mu'mineen Ali (a.s.) quoting the Prophet's (p.b.u.h.) tradition who said : " Verily, Allah, the Exalted, has bestowed (His) favours on me particularly for ' The Opening ' (Al-Fatihah) and has positioned it on a par with the whole Grand Qur'an, and surely Fatihat-ul-Kitab (the Opening of the Qur'an) is the dearest (item) in the treasures of the 'Arsh, (Throne of Heaven) .(1)

4. The Importance of its Recitation :

The recitation of this Sura, because of its extreme importance, is frequently emphasized in Islamic traditions and narrations. As for its virtue, it is narrated from the holy Prophet(p.b.u.h.) that: " The reward of any Muslim who recites the Sura ' Opening ', is like that of a person who has recited two thirds of the Qur'an, and so much reward would he receive as if he has given every believing Muslim, man or woman, a free will offering ". (2)

5. The Titles of the Sura :

There are ten titles given to this Sura, as taken from Islamic narrations and commentary books, thus: Fatihat-ul-Kitab, Umm-ul-Kitab, Umm-ul-Qur'an, Sab'-ul-Mathani, Al-Wafiyah, Al-Kafiyah, Ash-Shafiyah, Al-Asas, As-Salat, and Al-Hamd. (3)

When heart breaks, someone is always there for you..!

Salam alaikum.

YOu might have ever felt the feeling of a broken heart. What exactly a broken heart is?

The heart of a girl whose boyfriend or anyone she loves,�leaves her? NO..!!

The heart of a daughter whose parents dont care for her?? NO..!!

Or may be the heart of a boy whose mother never listens to him?? may be NO..!!

The defination of a broken heart is not just straight. Any person who didnt get something according to his expectations can be considered a broken hearted person.

Why do hearts break anyway?

Reason: We have way too much expectations. We expect more than we work. Wwe judge more than we improve ourselves. We Humiliate more than we respect. We hate more than we love. We ask more than we answer. We take more than we give.

So when it comes to selfishness, hearts break.

But what to do when we feel sad and out of the world.

ALLAH *SWT* wont ever let you down. You just have to look a little bit differently at things. And you will find him right inside your heart. Then you will see your heart is much more stronger than ever.

These are the experinces of life. And we have to learn from them. Because we are tested in every way.

From heartbreaking to duties, we are indeed tested.

We just have to pass these tests. If we do, our prize will be more than a human's imagination, paradise (insha ALLAH).

Being optimistic, patient and helpful is the best way to keep your heart strong enough and break proof. As our heart is like a mirror, one broke it can be repaired. But cracks always remain there..!!

Just see how we ruin our own lives from our own hands...

**Satan called a worldwide convention of demons.

In his opening address he said, 'We can't keep Muslims from going to Masjid.'

'We can't keep them from reading their Qur'an and knowing the truth.'

'We can't even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with their Allah and his messenger Muhammad.'

'Once they gain that connection with Allah, our power over them is broken.'

'So, let them go to their Masjid, let them have their covered dish dinners, BUT, steal their time, so they don't have time to develop a relationship with Allah and his messenger Muhammad.'

'This is what I want you to do,' said the devil:

'Distract them from gaining hold of their Allah and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!'

'How shall we do this?' his demons shouted.

'Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds,' he answered.

'Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow.'

'Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles.'

'Keep them from spending time with their children.'

'As their families fragment, soon, their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work!'

'Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still small voice.'

'Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive.'

'To keep the TV, VCR, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays music constantly.'

'This will jam their minds and break that union with Allah and his messenger Muhammad.'

'Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers.'

'Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day.'

'Invade their driving moments with billboards.'

'Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services and false hopes.'

'Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and TV so their husbands will believe that outward beauty is what's important, and they'll become dissatisfied with their wives.'

'Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at night.'

'Give them headaches too!'

'If they don't give their husbands the love they need, they will begin to look elsewhere.'

'That will fragment their families quickly!'

'Give them story books to distract them from teaching their children the real meaning of Salat.'

'Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect on Allah's creation.

'Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies instead.'

'Keep them busy, busy, busy!'

'And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences.'

'Crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Allah.'

'Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause.'

'It will work!' 'It will work!'

It was quite a plan!

The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing Muslims everywhere to get busier and more rushed, going here and there.

Having little time for their Allah or their families.

Having no time to tell others about the power of Allah and his messenger Muhammad to change lives.

I guess the question is, has the devil been successful in his schemes?

You be the judge!!!!!

Does 'BUSY' mean:

B-eing

U-nder

S-atan's

Y-oke? **

Assalam u alaikum

Just think for a minute...

What happens to a mother when her two year old son dies?

What will a young girl think when her brother is martyred in the war, war for peace...the so-called peace?

What will be the condition of a father to see his 18 year old university student daughter dying while going for studies, for gaining knowledge?

What will a 13 year old girl think if her whole family dies in a suicide bomb and she rmain alive. The reason....she was at her friend's house...

In my opinion,

they all would say..

I wish you were here O Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.

And if he was here, what he would have thought?

For this answer lets look at the history, the pre-Islamic times.

Women were treated worst then animals..girls were burnt alive.

Racism, tribalism and discrimination on the basis of caste and color were the most loved characteristics of a nation.

21st century is no different then that time.

Women are still abused badly.

girls are still a nonrespected part of society.

Racism, never mind.....the most common act of a white or black person when he sees his opposite..

So dont we think....We wish Holy Prophet peace be upon him was here to bring a complete reform.

Because the condition we are facing, we desperately need a reformer.

To bring a positive change...we do need someone..

Someone honest, hard working, well determined, zealous...

and a person with strong faith..

A stake faith like Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S)

And a one who strongly belives in these words of Allah

"If you kill one person, you kill the whole humanity and if you save one life, you save the whole humanity.

At the end i say,

I wish you were here, here next to me...

I am missing you so...

so desperately but lately i feel like you feel and i see what you see...

How i am missing you..

I know what Holy Prophet peace be upon him saw...

And now we are looking at the same circumstances..

Same conditions,

same problems...

I wish he could see it...

Just think...

Are we good enough to be the part of the Ummah of rehmatul lil 'alamin?

May be not!! because we dont do anything for our own selves...just think and think....without action...
